Regional Sales Manager Job Description Job Summary: Under the supervision of the VP of Sales, the Regional Sales Manager leads the company’s efforts to maintain and expand relationships with large, multi-location customers. Assigned to named customers, the Sales Manager is responsible for achieving sales quota and assigned account objectives. The incumbent represents the entire range of company products and services while leading the customer account planning cycle and ensuring assigned customers’ needs and expectations are being met.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities Business Development: Works with key management to define and deliver solution development efforts that best address customer needs, Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry· Develops opportunities and driving revenue on new accounts and within our existing client base· Develops and implements sales strategy to identify prospects and key decision makers within the company’s target accounts, and will contact/qualify prospects to produce actionable opportunities. Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts.
Account Development/Relationship Development: Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts. Proactively assess, clarifies and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis· Work with existing base of customers on quote and sample requests, product suggestions, order issues, shipping questions and other needs· Work with Product Engineering in the creation of new product specifications for manufacturing and purchase· Achieves assigned sales quotas for designated accounts· Achieves strategic customer objectives defined by management· Maintain high customer satisfaction and works with customer service to ensure such. Build peer support and strong internal-company relationships with other key management personnel.
Qualified Candidate Must Possess:
- Valid U.S. Driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation
- Valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate (ME Certificate) with ability to drive the Company Demo box truck
- High school or equivalent
- Minimum of 3-5 years of strategic sales experience in a business-to-business sales environment.
- Relevant industry experience a plus. Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and customer expectations
- Fluent in Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- North America
- College degree preferred, but not required
- Outside Sales: 3 years
Required License or Certification:
- Driver’s License
